In 2014 six associations (EVTA, EfVET, EUproVET, EVBB, EUCEN, EURASHE) agreed to work together under one umbrella: VET4EU2.

The organisations have kept their respective responsibilities and activities, but have been working also for reaching joint objectives in assuring quality in VET and parity of esteem of VET in society. In 2023 the organisations set up the SEG (Silver Experts Group).

EUproVET is a representational platform for European VET providers.

The European Vocational Training Association – EVTA, is a leading European network in the field of Vocational Education and Training, representing VET providers across Europe.

EfVET is a unique European-wide professional association which has been created by and for providers of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in all European countries.

The European Association of Institutions in Higher Education (EURASHE) represents universities of applied sciences and university colleges; other members of EURASHE are national and sectorial associations of higher education institutions, and other individual institutions, such as universities.

The European University Continuing Education Network (eucen) is an international non-governmental not-for-profit association founded in 1991 and registered under Belgian law in 1994.

The European Association of Institutes for Vocational Training (EVBB) is a European umbrella association of free and non-profit educational providers. Its objective is the qualitative improvement of vocational education and training in Europe and beyond and to increase the efforts designed to promote VET as a first choice.

The SEG can contribute every year to a number of concrete and useable results on topics of interest of the VET4EU2 platform and of the European Commission, relating to the VET sector.

Each association can ask its representatives in the SEG to take part in meetings, events and activities related to the topics covered and where the expertise of the persons involved can contribute to the discussions.

Here a list with examples of topics of interest, to have an idea of what the SEG can focus on. The list will be updated every year.
